The 24th Annual “Share Your Christmas” Food Drive, will be held on Dec. 2, 2011 from 6:00 a.m. till 6:30 p.m. With the following three drop off locations: Kiii-TV station @ 5002 S.P.I.D or H-E-B @ Port & Tarlton and H-E-B @ Saratoga & South Staples.

Come support the Food Bank of Corpus Christi and help us fight hunger in the Coastal Bend area this holiday by donating non-perishable food items or drop off a cash donation. Your donations will help us provide food and personal care products to our agencies in 11 counties. Our agencies range from food pantries, senior centers, shelters, mobile pantries, and after-school programs. Come out and “Share Your Christmas” this year with our supporters Kiii-TV and H-E-B.

KRIS Communications will be hosting the “Season Of Hope” food drive from October 21, 2011 through December 21, 2011, and will have various food drop off locations. The donations will help stock up the Food Bank of Corpus Christi to help fight hunger in the Coastal Bend area by providing food and personal care products to various charities and service agencies in 11 counties, which include Aransas, Bee, Brooks, Duval, Jim Wells, Kenedy, Kleberg, Live Oak, McMullen, Nueces and San Patricio counties.

We invite you to donate on Nov. 15th, 2011!

Thank you for your past donation to the Day of Giving. We need your help this year more than ever. As you know, local nonprofits assisting our neediest neighbors are still coping with demand that is at an all time high while donations are down and government grants have been sharply reduced . On November 15, once again Coastal Bend residents can FIGHT HUNGER – SUPPORT CHILDREN – RESCUE ANIMALS – REDUCE HOMELESSNESS – RIGHT HERE IN THE COASTAL BEND. On that day, gifts to any of the 22 participating nonprofits will be matched dollar for dollar, up to a maximum of $11,800 for any agency until every matching dollar is gone. The event is made possible by 13 local foundations that put up the $260,000 matching grant.
Please consider giving again this year and sharing this information with friends so that they might donate, too.

Participating in the Day of Giving is simple! For 24 hours on November 15, 2011, donors can give online at www.coastalbenddayofgiving.org. EVERYONE can truly make a difference! A $10 minimum donation provides a week’s groceries to three families of four – or a week’s supply of diapers for a homeless infant.
