  The Food Bank of Corpus Christi (FBCC) hosted a mobile food pantry at the Hacienda Senior Citizen Apartment Complex on Greenwood Drive on Tuesday, August 19th to distribute boxes of food to more than 60 households. The FBCC’s mobile pantry program stops by the Senior Complex each month and is just one of 24 mobile pantry drops that takes place monthly throughout South Texas. News hounds roll up their sleeves for the Food Bank of Corpus Christi

  Community volunteers from the Corpus Christi Caller-Times recently stopped by the warehouse to help inspect, sort and box donated food items which will eventually be distributed to food insecure individuals and families in an 11 county are of South Texas. This particular volunteer team calls themselves the ‘Good News Team’ and we couldn’t agree more. In all, 25 Caller-Times employees have stepped up this week to help the FBCC.  [ Read More ]

The USDA comes through for the Food Bank of Corpus Christi

  Inspectors from the USDA based at the Sam Kane Beef Processors located in Corpus Christi, Texas stopped by the Food Bank of Corpus Christi (FBCC) on Saturday, August 16th to drop off 148 pounds of food they collected as a result of a recent food drive. Diabetes Hands On Classes begin soon at the Food Bank of Corpus Christi

The Food Bank of Corpus Christi announces its next series of ‘Diabetes Hand On’ Classes. The eight week course consists of 2 hour classes held once a week. Classes are available Tuesday evenings from 5:30pm to 7:30pm or Wednesday mornings from 9:30am to 11:30am.
