‘Tis the season of hope for the hungry this Christmas season. Tejano music fans recently crowded the Old Concrete Street Amphitheater as KRIS 6 teamed up with Johnny and Nora Canales for a live taping of their Christmas show on December 14th.  People donated to the Season of Hope as they listened to their favorite Tejano music artists perform their annual Christmas show. The Souper Bowl benefitting the Food Bank of Corpus Christi is set for next year

Hundreds of one-of-a-kind ceramic bowls are being hand crafted by the Barry Brown Clay Studio for a  fundraising event called The Souper Bowl which will be held at the Art Center of Corpus Christi on February 6, 2015. The last Souper Bowl event took place in 2013 and for just $20, participants picked their favorite bowl, chose a delicious soup, and supported their community Art Center and the Food Bank of Corpus Christi. The City of Corpus Christi’s Gas Department stopped by the Food Bank of Corpus Christi

The City of Corpus Christi’s Gas Department recently stopped by the Food Bank of Corpus Christi to help sort, inspect and box donated food items that will be distributed to the ‘food insecure’ living in South Texas. The 7th Annual Tamalada at the Garcia Arts and Education Center was a great success

On December 9th, 2014 the 7th Annual Tamalada sponsored by the Food Bank of Corpus Christi was held at the Garcia Arts and Education Center. The annual ‘Tamalada’ was available to all participants of the Food Bank of Corpus Christi’s Diabetes Hands on classes and the surrounding neighborhood.
